After moving to Miami, FL in the early 1950’s, Gerry worked in the public relations field for Dade County. She appeared on many radio and television talk shows, wrote a recurring column in Miami Magazine and was listed in the annual publication Who’s Who.
Gerry was a great wife and a loving mother. She married William Healy in 1952 and the couple had three daughters together. Gerry was very social and was deeply involved in The Red Hat Ladies, The Daughters of the American Revolution and a faithful member of St Anthony's church for the majority of her life. She enjoyed oil painting, traveling the world, playing bridge and mahjong with friends, monthly bingo games with the Merry Makers and regularly socialized with her many friends in the mountains. Her family and friends will always remember her as an avid storyteller, terrific cook, a devoted grandmother to her nine grandkids and eight great grand-kids and an overall fun loving person.
