IRENE MARY COUGHLIN
April 14, 1937 – December 26th, 2023
Irene (Ginger) Coughlin, 86, of Ocala Florida, passed away peacefully near her family in Marietta GA on December, 26th 2023.
Irene was born in New York City on April 14th 1937. She is survived by her sister Carol Puhalovich, her spouse Samuel, brother George Rakovic, his spouse Mary and brother Nicholas Rakovic, her sons Brian & Neal Coughlin, their spouses Lizzie & Emer Coughlin and twin Granddaughters Emma & Meghan Coughlin.
Ginger was married to the love of her life Bernard Coughlin for 63 years, Bernard (Bernie) passed away after a short illness on May 5th, 2023.
Ginger started her career as a flight attendant for American Airlines, she then became a home maker raising her sons Brian & Neal. Ginger then returned to work as a professional cake decorator at JC Penney and went on to be an executive trainer. Upon retirement, Ginger & Bernie moved to Ocala Florida.
They were deeply involved in their local parish Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Ocala FL. They served in many ministries always giving of their time & talents.
Ginger & Bernie loved to travel and were avid campers. Ginger was always entertaining family & friends and was an exceptional cook and loved arts and crafts. She was an avid reader. There was never a day that Ginger didn’t have her glamour on and she always looked like a Million Dollars.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 10.30 am at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Marietta, GA.
