Mr. Jack Anthony Lucus, 60, of Oxford, GA passed away on March 28, 2022, at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Jack was born in Barstow, CA, and lived his early childhood years in Oceanside, CA. After his father retired from the military the family moved home to Hattiesburg, MS. Jack attended Oak Grove High School. After high school, Jack joined the Army and served his country for 21 years, with several tours abroad. Jack started a family and raised his children in Conyers, GA. Jack was self-employed in the landscaping/handyman business and had many loyal customers who loved him dearly.
Jack is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Patterson and Jeffrey Lucus.
Jack is survived by two daughters, Kelly Ann Lucus of Dallas, GA, and Cassandra Frances Lucus of Beech Creek, KY. Three grandchildren, Anthony James Valles, Lilly Michelle Valles of Beech Creek, KY, and Ethan James Lucus of Dallas, GA, his parents, Jack and Betty Lucas of Sumrall, MS, four sisters, Evelyn Marie Kepper of Hattiesburg, MS, Mikki Pyles of Hattiesburg, MS, Cindy Brackman of Sumrall, MS, Teri Schaffer of Decatur, MS, two brothers, Scott Patterson of Petal, MS and David Allen Lucus of Oxford, GA. And a number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
