James Eldredge, a hard-working and determined man of God, passed on April 24, 2024, at 90 years of age.
James was very close with his twin brother Stewart Eldredge, who passed away in May of 2020, and will be interred with him at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A., and Medora D. Eldredge, his brothers, William, Henry, Stewart, and Hugh Eldredge, his sister, Valentine Black, his wife of 28 years, Nancy Eldredge, and his son, Paul S. Eldredge.
He is survived by his remaining three children, James D. Eldredge, Jr, Shara E. Wilson, and Krista L. Eldredge, his grandchildren, Amanda Sharpe, Tara Shirley, Justin Eldredge, Cameron Eldredge, Catrina Eldredge, Logan Eldredge, Noah Eldredge, Tiffany Avery, Cody Wilson, Rhyse McGinnis, and Bryse McGinnis, as well as the multiple great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-granddaughter with which he was blessed.
James was born in Memphis, Tennessee but moved to Columbus, Mississippi when he was a young boy. He began his secondary education at Mississippi State before enlisting in the Army to serve during the Korean conflict.
He served from 1951-1954, spending two of those years in the Philippines. James then returned to the States to finish his degree at Mississippi State where he met his wife, Nancy. They were blessed with four children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests at his residence on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, from 12:00 to 8:00 pm ET.
