Jane F. Karp, of Kennesaw GA passed away January 31, 2022, at the age of 86 after a life well lived and dearly loved. Formerly of Framingham and Mashpee MA, Jane resided in Kennesaw GA for the past 5 years.
Born in (Jamaica Plain) Boston Massachusetts in January 1936, Jane is preceded recently in death by her husband of 66 years, Edwin M. Karp, parents Mary C. Keefe (Reedy) and John H. Keefe, her sisters Mary (Rainy) Lorraine Duffy (Keefe) Joan Keefe, Doris Regina Zontini (Keefe), her brothers John(Jack) Keefe II, William (Bill) R. Keefe, Paul(Ding) Keefe, Walter(Ripper) J. Keefe, and her granddaughter Brittany Karp.
She leaves behind 4 children; daughter Kathleen and her husband Jim Muto of Kennesaw, GA; daughter Mary Jane and her husband Ed Dyer of Mashpee MA; son Rusty (Edwin M.) Karp Jr. and his fiancé Karen Black of Hudson, FL; daughter Jennifer Norton and her partner Joe Golensky of Hyannis, MA and Oviedo FL, 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren, 3 Great-Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, friends, and her cat Paws.
Jane previously worked for the Telephone company and as a bank Teller in Framingham MA, and then once the children were in school she worked in the Food Service program following the children and grandchildren at several schools until her retirement. Once retired, Jane volunteered weekly at Christ The King Thrift Shop in Mashpee MA. She loved the beach, candlepin bowling, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to many places including Ireland, Hawaii, California, Florida, driving across country a few times, took several cruises, and all over the entire East coast.
Visitation is 10:00-11:00 and funeral is 11:00-12:00 on Wednesday February 16, 2022, at Georgia Funeral Care 4671 S Main St. Acworth GA. A burial service will follow 1:30-2:00 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton GA.
