Jeffrey Lynn Budd, 68, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Jeff was born on July 20, 1953, in Elwood, Indiana to Jesse and Phyllis (Quarles) Budd who preceded him in death. Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Madison Heights High School in Anderson, Indiana. He married Carlene Kimmerling on January 24, 1976. Jeff was a founding member of the Anderson Mud Puppy Association at Vincennes University in 1971. He worked for Lincoln Financial in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and then continued at Lincoln but as an IBM employee. Jeff retired from IBM in 2015. He was very active in the Anthony Wayne Lions Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and then East Cobb Lions Club in Marietta, Georgia. Jeff loved football, playing as long as he could and earning the nickname of Moose, and was a Pal and high school football referee for as long as his knees would let him. He loved fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife is his daughter Jessica (Andrew) Parker of Marietta, Georgia, and his son Jerry (Nicole) Budd, his brother John (Deborah) Budd of Tucson, Arizona, and four grandchildren Andrew (AJ), Aiden, Samantha, and Alexander Parker. He was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Jerry Lee Budd.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15 at 1 pm at Acworth United Methodist Church, 4340 Collins Circle, Acworth, Georgia followed by a service at 2 pm. There will be a celebration of life per Jeff's request at the Retreat at NatureWalk Club House, 515 Hawthorne Ridge Circle, Dallas, Georgia following the service.
