Joyce Evelyn Morgan 89 of Springfield, OH Passed away March 25th, 2024, in her home as she wished with her husband Gerald Morgan at her side.
Early that morning God held his hand down and asked her to be with him. Joyce was born November 24th, 1934, to Karl and Nola in Springfield, Ohio. Of eleven children she was the last surviving sibling of her family.
She attended high school in Springfield where she met the love of her life Gerald Morgan. Shortly after high school, she traveled to Georgia to marry her love who was enlisted in the army.
Shortly after Gerald’s military service, they moved back to Ohio where they raised four children. Louann, Gerald, Timothy, and Kathryn. They had many grand and great-grandchildren whom Joyce loved very much.
Although Joyce was afraid of water she loved the beach. There were many trips to the beach amongst others where she would get all the children up at sunrise so she could be one of the first people out to collect seashells. One of her dreams was to go to Paris with her husband, which the children contributed to so she could get her wish.
Joyce began her career as an administrative assistant for Dairy Queen, AMA Motorcycle Association, and Riverside Hospital amongst others. As life went on, Joyce and Gerald ended up living in Georgia where Joyce continued her education obtaining an associate degree as a paralegal where she worked for Geico.
Joyce was deeply religious and attended as well as worked in the church doing Sunday school services for preschool-aged children. She had a passion for church, the beach, flower gardens as well as raising her children.
Joyce will be sadly missed by not only her surviving family but all the hearts she touched during her life’s journey.
