Joyce Ann Patterson, 66 of Marietta, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in Marietta. She was born November 10, 1956 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Mary Leota Patterson. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School and later from the University of Iowa. She went on to a successful career in accounting as a CPA. For a time, she lived and worked in Europe, while working for an international hotel chain. She rode camels in Egypt and drove herself through the Cotswolds of England and the Scottish Highlands. She was always a gal who liked to feel the wind in her hair....! Joyce Ann loved animals, especially her childhood pony, Penny. In her later years, she enjoyed her many canine friends and hanging out with other puppy lovers!
Her surviving family includes ten first cousins:

Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside Celebration of Life and interment for Joyce Ann Patterson will be held at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. A Memorial Service was previously held at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, Georgia on June 26, 2023. Memorials may be made to the Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoption organization in Kennesaw, Georgia.
