Justin Cooke

Justin came into this world with a roar on July 9, 1981, and peacefully departed on April 23, 2022. Justin passed away at the age of 40 after a courageous battle with bone cancer. He was constantly surrounded by loved ones. During his lifetime, Justin experienced lots of love, numerous laughter, and adventures. Justin started school in New York City and he ended his academic career with a bachelor's degree from SCAD and an associate degree in technology from ITT Tech. His adventures took him to live in Manhattan, Marietta, Woodstock, Acworth, LA, and Tampa. He had the opportunity to travel to London, Paris, Venice, Greece, and various Caribbean islands for summer vacations. He loved to travel, ride his motorcycle into the mountains, camping, be near water, play video games, and watch movies and tv programs with family and friends.

His biggest joy was becoming a homeowner in September 2016. It was a place to call his own with his lizard, Stoney, motorcycle, and playing pool and video games in his man cave with friends. It was his place of refuge where he could himself. Justin was a bright, energetic child who always valued family and friends. He was truly gifted with computers and technology. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Justin. He will be remembered for his smiles, laughter, warm heart and the joy he brought to everyone he met. Justin had a spiritual personality that attracted good people to him. Justin leaves behind a loving mother Yvonne, step-father Warren, sisters Jeanine and Lauren, nieces Jakaila and Jeanelle and nephew Jason, grandmother Perquita Woodard, aunt Beverly Woodard, godfather Thomas Dilworth, uncle Walter Cooke, cousins Chris, Ashley, and Jean Henderson and dear friends Ysa, Marisa, Tanya, Shevonne, Josh, Brandi, Clark and Jay. A special graveside ceremony will be held at a later date in Virginia where Justin will be buried alongside his dad.
