Karen Lea DeMotts, age 60, of Cartersville, GA, died February 15, 2018. She was born in Waupun, Wisconsin, on August 23, 1957, and moved with her family to Florida in 1962. After graduating from King High School in Tampa, she worked at Poe and Associates for many years. Karen had debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis and moved to Cartersville, Georgia, to live with her youngest sister, Cindy, who lovingly cared for her until her passing. Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Harrison G. DeMotts and Lois DeMotts Rosoline; sisters Cheryl DeMotts, Lauri Blazier, Sue Ann Brown and brother Jeffrey DeMotts. Karen is survived by brother Dr. Gregory DeMotts (Sonya) and sisters Sandra Zajac (Kenneth) and Cynthia Barnett (Dean) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts, Uncles and friends. Karen led a unique life and loved the Lord and her church family. She was an avid football fan and truly enjoyed watching football. Karen always had a smile for you along with a joke and if you asked her how she was doing, it was always “fine”. A memorial service will be held on March 17, 2018, 4 PM, at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services, Acworth, GA. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 3 PM. Since Karen was an avid football fan if you would like to do so you can dress casual and wear football wear . Some of her favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, Falcons, Georgia Bull Dogs and Florida Gators .
