Karen Marie Bien (Davis) passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 67 in Cartersville, Georgia. She was born on May 28, 1957, in Elsworth, Maine.
Karen was a vibrant and one-of-a-kind individual known for her sense of humor and ability to bring light to any situation. She had a unique talent for making friends easily and always offered a helping hand to those in need. Her comforting spirit and attentive ear will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Lauren Brown (Kyle Brown) of Acworth, GA, and their children: Cameron Taylor and Ensley Marie Brown. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Bellanger of Villa Rica, GA, and her children: Crystal (Eddie) Jarrett and Matthew Cavender.
Karen leaves behind several great nephews and a niece: Taylor, Dakota, Ethan, Declan, and Autumn Jarrett; and Elijah and Micah Cavender. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Darlyne Davis, brothers Charles and Gary Davis, as well as foster parents, Frank and Helen Gonzales of Donora, Pennsylvania.
Karen proudly served in the Air Force from 1974 to 1978. She pursued her higher education at the University of Texas Health Science Center, graduating with a BSN in 1982. Karen dedicated her career as a SICU/MICU Registered Nurse in San Antonio, TX.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 13th, from 6-9 p.m. at Georgia Funeral Care, located at 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101. Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA, is assisting with the arrangements.
Karen's kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
