Kelli Brooke McGrail

Kelli Brooke McGrail was born April 30, 1998, in Marietta, Georgia, and passed to the next life on September 1, 2021, at the age of 23 in Athens, Georgia.

Kelli grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia where she cultivated a love for her friends and family, softball, and Jesus.  As a high school softball player, Kelli was Kennesaw Mountain High School Impact player of the year and Gold Glove Award, winner. She was team captain, First team all-region, All Cobb County honorable mention, and GADC Allstar. She went on to play softball at Kennesaw State University her freshman year.

At the time of her death, she was working on her Masters of Education Degree at the University of Georgia. She was set to graduate Magna Cum Laude in May of 2022. She planned to become a High school teacher and wanted to share her passion for softball with others by coaching. She previously received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University in May of 2020.

Along with working towards her master's degree, Kelli was actively involved in CrossFit and small group bible studies at Northstar in Kennesaw and Connections Church in Athens. Kelli’s greatest legacy will be every person that she led to the Lord. Kelli lived with positivity and contentment that you couldn’t help but admire. Many people wanted to live with the sense of peace she radiated. She always said that she had peace because she was living for Jesus. Kelli invited people to church consistently and without hesitation. She wanted all of her friends to know the love that her Heavenly Father had for them. Many of her friends will one day be reunited with Kelli, walking the streets of gold, because she brought them to faith.

Kelli leaves behind her parents Patrick & Sandra McGrail of Kennesaw, as well as her brother Ryan of Kennesaw. In addition, Kelli is survived by Her grandmother Jutta McGrail of Cataula. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather James McGrail and her maternal grandparents Charles and Loretta Wessler.

Kelli will always be remembered for her infectious positivity and the way she could light up any room. Her love for and commitment to her friends and family was admirable. Her love for Jesus was unmatched. She was always a light in the darkest of times, a shoulder to lean on, and an encouraging presence. She will live on forever in the hearts and smiles of all of those she loved. Kelli Brooke, you will be deeply loved and greatly missed forever. You are in the place your soul belongs. Rest well and fly high our beautiful angel!
