Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Smith died June 12th, 2017, at the age of 70 and was a resident of Canton, Georgia since 1995. Larry was born August 24, 1946 to Dozier and Martha Smith in Macon, GA. He attended Lanier Senior High School in Macon where he ran track and was a member of fraternity LTB. He retired from Bellsouth after 46 years.
Larry loved the outdoors and frequently camped in the North Georgia Mountains with his wife, Terri. The majority of his time was spent at his church where he was surrounded by many loving and caring friends. Much of his spare time was spent working in his garden and tinkering with any computer or gadget he could get his hands on. He enjoyed going to the firing range and talking politics to anyone who would listen. He was a true believer in God, guns and liberty.
A devoted husband and father, Larry is survived by his wife, Terri Smith of Canton, Ga., his son Colin Smith and Nora Wilson of Berkeley, Ca., his step-daughter Katherine Pepper and husband Adam Pepper of Dallas, Ga., his two grand-children, Cora Pepper (age 5) and Colton Pepper (age 2), his step-son Royce Munn and wife Lindsay Pepper of Atlantic Beach, Fl., and his sister Joan Sheldon and husband Mike Sheldon of Marietta, Ga.
