Lou Ann, after declining in health for several years, passed away early on December 27, 2021 in Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Springfield, Ohio February 4, 1938.
Lou Ann moved from Ohio to Georgia in 2012. Lou Ann was a long time teacher in the Graham School District, Saint Paris, Ohio. Never married, she remembered many of her students as her family. Miss Blose or Miss Lou Ann was known to be very caring but also tough when necessary. One of her students recalled if you got out of line there might be a blackboard eraser headed your direction from the front of the room.
She was an active member of a retired teachers group (I think they call themselves “TWAR” , Those Who Are Retired). This was another “family” for her. The “TWAR” friends were always the topic of conversation when we were with her.
Another very important family for Lou Ann was the Olivet Chapter No. 538 Order of the Eastern Star, in Christiansburg, Ohio. Both Lou Ann and her mother, Martha served as Worthy Matrons. They were long time active members as was her father, Charles (Woody) Blose.
Lou Ann was the caretaker of our mother, Martha Blose and one of our brothers, Charles (Chuck) Blose. She saw to their needs and was always close by, helping when needed.
Music was a passion for Lou Ann. She enjoyed playing the piano and sang in the Terre Haute, Ohio United Methodist Church choir.
Lou Ann is survived by brothers Wayne in Payette, ID and Jim in Canton, GA and their children and grandchildren.
