Maggie S Williamson was born June 17, 1945 in Bamberg South Carolina to Albertha and James Mcmillan. God dispatched the angel of mercy and instructed him to bring his beloved daughter home. She departed this life on December 30, 2019 in Marietta Georgia. She was educated in the Asheville North Carolina school system. At an early age she accepted the Lord as her personal savior.
As a young lady she moved to Brooklyn, NY. There she joined Friendship Baptist Church in 1963, where she sang in the adult choir. She was preceded in death by her first husband David Johnson, surviving is their daughter Desiree Johnson. Maggie worked for the City Of New York as a 911 operator for three years and Saint Francis College for four years in an Administrative Accounting role. She also worked for the State Of New York Unemployment Office for six years. Maggie was a long time member of the Order Of Eastern Star. She was also proceeded in death by her second husband, Albert Williamson in July 2006. Maggie moved to Georgia later in 2006 to be with her family. Maggie continued her education and received her BA in early 2016 from Post University.
After suffering mini strokes at the end of 2015, she then suffered a major stroke in April 2016. As a result of the stroke she transitioned to Signature At Tower Road Nursing Home. There she became an advocate for her fellow nursing home residents. Preceding in death by her mother Albertha Mcmillan, her father James Mcmillan, her brother James Mcmillan, her brother Sterling Mcmillan, her brother Gregory Mcmillan, her brother Gary Mcmillan, her nephew Gary Charles Hines and two stepsons Stevie and Pooky.
Maggie is survived by her daughter Desiree Werts and son-in-law Stephe Werts, granddaughter Kayiah and husband Travis Prince , grandson Stephen Werts, granddaughter Nyreiss Symonne Boone, great grandchildren Traidynn, Traimir, Traimari, Symaiya and Zy. Maggie raised two nieces Felicia Morales Mcmillan and Jessica Alice Williams, one nephew Lushion Mcmillan, 5 siblings Vernell Mcmillan of Palm Harbor Florida, Alice Williams of Orlando Florida, Irene Malloy of Washington DC, Joann Mcmillan of Syracuse and Kenneth of Syracuse, 1 (Special ) Aunt Beatrice White of Brooklyn NY, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
