Marty Marion Arnold, 72, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 19th, 2021. Born in Key West, Florida to Ralph and Isel Arnold, he shared a special bond with his brother Ralph (Lungie) from childhood throughout their time together. He was a graduate of the University of South Florida where he earned his teaching degree. He had a passion for sports, fitness, and the outdoors. He went on to play minor league baseball. He was a coach and a mentor.
During his journey through life, he met so many special people and impacted so many lives. He became a father figure to many through his years of mentoring. His kindness, selflessness, compassion, and generosity were evident in his love for helping others. He offered encouragement and advice, direction and opportunity to so many. He still offered these even in times he needed these himself. These successes are still evident today in the lives of so many. He was vibrant, strong, a fighter, yet kind and gentle. He was compassionate, loving, and generous. He gave from the heart expecting nothing in return. He was a loving husband and a loving father to his daughter Michelle. She was the light of his life. The one constant that provided him solitude and hope, joy and strength to carry on in the most trying times. Michelle was and still is his most beloved girl. His greatest accomplishment in life, in love, now, and for eternity.
Marty will live on in the hearts of all who had the opportunity to know him. May we find peace on earth while he finds peace in heaven where we will reunite one day in glory. We love you, we feel your presence each day. We are comforted in knowing you are with us...until we meet again. Marty is survived by his wife Helen, his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Fanning, grandson, Paul Walsh, and two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
The funeral service for Marty Arnold will be held on February 5, 2022, at 2:30 PM.
