It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Carolyn Jackson, aged 77, announce her peaceful passing on October 9, 2024, in Marietta, Georgia. Born on January 23, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mary was known as the steadfast rock of her family, always speaking her mind and keeping everyone together with her warmth and resilience.

Mary graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She dedicated many years of her career to AT&T as an Executive Administrative Assistant, where she was highly respected and valued by her colleagues.

Mary was a devoted wife to Jesse Jackson, who served 22 years in the United States Coast Guard. She took great pride in his service and the values they shared from this commitment. Together, they nurtured a loving family, including daughters Robin Trimbur, Tammy Messier-Lee (Mike Lee) and Melissa Adams. Mary was a cherished Mimi to Chassity, Jesse, Bryant (Beth), Dacey (Terry), Hallie, Dane, Railey, Jackson, Payton and her great grandson Acelin.

Her hobbies included shopping, playing Bingo with friends, and fervently supporting Alabama Football, exclaiming "Roll Tide" with passion. She was deeply involved in her grandchildren's lives, attending their activities ranging from sports to music and significant milestones.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Louise Padgett, and in-laws, Clyde and Mabel Jackson. Her life will be celebrated with a funeral service on October 22 at Georgia Funeral Care 4671 S Main Street Acworth, GA, 30101 followed by burial at the Georgia National Cemetery 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane

Canton, GA 30114. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the funeral at 12:00 pm and burial at 2:30 pm.

Mary Carolyn Jackson will be remembered for her unwavering support, love, and dedication to her family and friends. Her legacy of strength and unity will live on through her loved ones.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else will ever fill. Love you most!
