Mostafa "Morris" Rezvan passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on November 28th, 2021. He was 65 years old. "Goodbyes are only for those that love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation."-Rumi
Morris was born on February 26th, 1956 in Isfahan, Iran. He came to the United States at 20 years old where he earned a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Missouri and earned his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering at Lowell University in Boston, Massachusetts. He returned to Iran and worked as a Professor at Azad Isfahan University, where he taught civil engineering and was well-regarded by students and colleagues. He married Zari Rezvan in 1990. In 2002, the Rezvans courageously immigrated to the United States with their two children, Ali and Rana Rezvan. Morris started a successful family rug business from the ground up in Alpharetta, Georgia. He continued running the business with his wife, Zari, up until his time of passing. He will be remembered for his contagious sense of humor, and the ability to light up any room and make anyone laugh. Our fondest memories of Morris revolve around his sense of humor and the time he dedicated to his family. He loved dogs (especially his beloved Chipper), grilling kabobs & winning in backgammon. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family & friends.
Morris is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Zari Rezvan; his son, Ali Rezvan; his daughter, Rana Rezvan; and his son and daughter-in-law, Evan Rosenstein and Elsa Burbelo. The memorial service and lunch for our beloved Morris Rezvan will be held on Thursday, December 2nd at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA from 10 AM-1 PM. A lunch will follow at Mersi Chef Persian Food in Kennesaw, Georgia.
