Nesbitt Bill Whitlow Sr., age 87, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Angela Whitlow; his first wife, Sheila Degge and son Paul Miller.
He is survived by his son’s Bill Jr. and wife Sandy, Ernie, Chris and wife Carolyn, daughters Angie Tedrick and Gigi Benson, and grandsons Michael Tedrick, Austin Benson, and Ethan Tedrick. He is further survived by daughter, Susan O’Reilly, from his first marriage, and his half-brother Tommy Whitlow and wife Estella. He was born November 20, 1932, in West Point, Georgia, to Clara Adele Estes and Nesbitt Belma Whitlow. He attended Scared Heart High School, in Atlanta. He joined the United States Air Force in 1950 and had assignments that included England, Goose Bay Air Base, Labrador, Canada, and Wheelus Air Base, Tripoli, Libya. He was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant, on May 31, 1970, after 20 plus years of exemplary service to our country.
After his retirement from the Air Force, he began a new career as a Central Office Technician, and later a Network Manager for Southern Bell and Bellsouth. He retired from Bellsouth in 1991. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, Georgia. He enjoyed his retirement for many years by traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. He enjoyed many things, but computers, video games, photography, music, and gardening were his favorites.
