On Tuesday April 20, 2021, Norma Morrison, also known as Bess, went to be with her Lord and Savior, at the age of 98. Bess was born December 1, 1922 in Enterprise, Alabama and attended Sidney Lanier High School where she met Fred Borland. They were married and had two children, Judy (deceased), and Rick. Fred was a career military officer, Captain US Army Airborne Ranger. He died in active duty and Bess later married Bert Morrison, a WWII survivor and POW, now deceased. Bess has many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. After retiring from a Civil Service career, Bess enjoyed travelling, and her social life playing bridge at the Montgomery Bridge Club in Montgomery Alabama, earning a Life Master Bridge Player award. The previous 6 years Bess was a resident of Jasper, Ga. living with her son and daughter-in- law, Rick and Rhonda Borland, enjoying her final days with extended family. Bess was a true southern woman, one of a kind, very independent and practical, and had a witty, quick, sense of humor. She was kind, and never judgmental, and because of that, she made friends and amazing memories with all who knew her. A celebration of life for Bess will be held with her family members in Jasper at a later date. May God Bless all that knew her. Phil 1:3.
