Teressa Delayne "Teri" Lee, 63, passed away on October 18, 2024, in Carrollton, GA. Born on March 26, 1961, Teri dedicated much of her life to law enforcement, serving with the Acworth Police Department and as Director of the Police Explorers at the Powder Springs Police Department. Her passion for mentoring youth was recognized with numerous awards, and she loved organizing fundraisers to support young people and those in need. Teri was known for her vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and the deep love she had for her grandchildren—Emery, Minnie, and Annabelle—who were her greatest joy. She was a beloved figure at her nursing home, where she delighted in sharing stories about her grandchildren.
Teri is survived by her children, John Russell Lee and Amanda Sandra Lee Wick; grandchildren, Emery and Minnie Lee, and Annabelle Harris; her mother and stepfather, Alice and Wayne Arnold; siblings, Donna and Eric Bresnan, and brother Rodger Deer; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Lee; son-in-law, Brian Wick; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S Main Street, Acworth, GA, on Wednesday, October 23, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. JD's Barbecue will cater the food and refreshments.
