Our dear mother, Olivia Hendrickson Scalf, a longtime resident of Cartersville, GA passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at home with loved ones by her side. She was 75. Olivia was born October 11, 1942 in Clear Creek, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ed Hendrickson and Meda Hendrickson. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed dearly. She worked for Sears Roebuck, in accounting for 19 years. After retiring from Sears, she pursued her interest in antiques for a while. She loved going yard saling and finding things for her store, we called her the “Yard Sale Queen”. We will miss her quick-wittedness, she always had us in stitches and always had a smile on her face. She was a strong woman who stormed through a lot of hurdles in her life with a positive attitude. She loved Christmas and would put a small tree in every room, she loved decorating for the holidays. She also loved planting flowers, she often won “Patio of the month” where she lived. She is survived by two loving daughters, Stephanie Crowe and Bridget Priest, two loving son-in-law’s, Alex Crowe and Ricky Priest, two loving grandchildren, Morgan Crowe and Caleb Priest, three loving sisters, Sonja Brenner, Faye Huffman, Rhonda Hall, and loving brother-in-law E.B Ray. She is also survived by ex-husband, Dannie Scalf, they had a lot of love and respect for each other. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Hendrickson and sister, Anna Lee Ray.
