Rachel Nicole Smith Palmer

Rachel Nicole Smith Palmer died unexpectedly at her home on August 6th, 2020 in Acworth, GA at the age of 38.

Rachel is survived by her mother, Melanie Beshers, her father, Bruce Smith, her husband Donald (Skip) Palmer, her daughter, Kylie Lynn Victoria Palmer, her brother n law Chris Palmer, her sister in law Amber Smith and her grandsons, Mayson Scott Palmer & Bentley Hayden Palmer, her sisters Dani Smith & Lexi Smith, her step mother Jamie Smith, her Aunts, Dawna Vandevender, Kathy Williams, Sylvia Skrmetta, Marsha Smith, & Sherri Smith, her Uncles, Randy Williams, Ben Smith, Victor Smith, Ford Smith & Thomas Mills, her cousins Tiffany Williams, Keri Richardson, Jamey Mills, Clifton Williams, Joshua Williams, Brandi Spradley, Christie Strong, Jamie Parolli, Britney Smith, Rachele Chappell, Angela Ragsdale, Jason Smith, all from various locations.

Rachel is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Giovanna Smith & Sandra Phillips, her grandfathers, Ford Smith & Jim Phillips, her son Zakk Palmer, her pet Abby Palmer, her father in law Donald Palmer Sr., her mother in law Donna Proctor King, her other in laws, Robert and Ronnie Palmer all from various locations.

Rachel was born on September 21, 1981 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Melanie Kerner Smith and Bruce Smith. She received her GED in 2003.  She studied at Atlanta Broadcast Institute and graduated in 2004 and worked at Cool 105.7 Radio station as a DJ and editing. Rachel gave birth to her only daughter in 2005, Kylie Lynn Victoria Palmer and married Donald (Skip) Palmer, in 2006. She was a stay at home mom but later was employed by Publix where she remained with them for 5 years.

A memorial is scheduled for August 16, 2020, 1:00 pm at Wildlife Action 2075 Kellogg Creek Rd in Acworth, GA. with a reception to follow. Ralph Mcanne will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rachel’s life, masks are encouraged to be worn due to Covid 19.  **The family asked for all flowers to be sent to the house.**
