Richard “Rick” Anthony Worcester, 37, passed away in Acworth, Georgia on January 3, 2022. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 5, 1984, he relocated with his family to Newnan, Georgia at age 9.
After completing high school in Newnan, Rick took on a variety of trades and ultimately began his career with Georgia Power in 2015. Here, he met many strangers who became friends, and many friends who became family.
He met the love of his life, April, in 2018 in Canton, Georgia and they married in January of 2019. Within this unity, Rick gained a son, Jake, who immediately became his best friend and partner in crime.
He loved his family more than anything in the world and it was apparent to anyone around him. He is survived by his wife April Worcester, son Jake (Acworth, GA); parents Paul and Vanessa Worcester (Newnan, GA); Father/Mother-in-law Gary and Nancy Wilson (Murphy, NC), sister Kelly Hauth (Hendersonville, NC) and sister Jessica Morris (Grantville, GA). He adored his nieces Ella and Ziva and his nephew, Ian.
Anyone who knew Rick knew he lived life loud. He was always up for an adventure or to do something ridiculous, especially if it put a smile on Jake’s face. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, doing anything outdoors- especially hunting, camping, and grilling out with his best friends Kensley and Kevin. He never turned down an opportunity to head to the mountains in Murphy, NC to spend time with his in-laws. His love of music was well known, especially his love of 311 that he shared with his best friend Matt. His laugh was contagious and his happiness radiated to those around him. He never hesitated to lend a hand or help someone in need. His two pups, Oreo and Harley, never failed to put a smile on his face but he had quite the love/hate relationship with his cat Charlie.
Rick is now at peace, joining his best friend and “brother”, Gage Eidson, as they wreak havoc on the golden streets…as anyone who knew them would agree they would do nothing less.
Rick selflessly devoted his life to ensuring his family was taken care of. A celebration of life will be planned in the future and details will become available when known.
In lieu of flowers, a savings account has been established for his son Jake to aid future college expenses.
