Robert (Bob) W. Hill, 87, of Atlanta GA, peacefully passed away on August 29, 2022, after a long battle with dementia.
Born in Covington GA to Luke Sr. & Evelyn Hill, Bob was fiercely passionate about sports, computers, and Ga Tech football and dedicated his life to both his pursuit of happiness with his wife and his family.
After high school, he did 4+ years in the Air Force traveling the world working on jets and later graduating from Georgia Tech. In 1956, Bob met his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Moloney, and upon completion of his military service, they married in 1958. They had three (3) children. Bob landed his first job with Burroughs Corp where which kickstarted his career in mainframe computer sales.
Bob was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family.
Bob was also a passionate golf player and coached his kids in sports at Midway Ballpark. He spent most of his retirement playing various golf courses around Atlanta whereupon his home course was at Summit Chase Country Club in Snellville. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Luke Hill, Jr., and leaves behind his wife of 64 years, his sons – Tracy, Michael, and David Hill, sister Joann Hill Smith, daughter-in-law Wendy Hill, sister-in-law Connie Hill, sister-in-law Patty Reed, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 9 great-grandkids, numerous nephews and nieces.
Service to be held September 15, noon-2p at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services in Acworth GA, burial to be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date.
