Ronald Eugene Heffner of Woodstock, Ga. better known as “Ron” or “Friend”, especially to widows or anyone in need, has received his upward call, at age 52, to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 28, 2019. Ron loved life to the fullest! Some of those loves were being a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher here at FBCW. In his younger years, he was proud and honored to serve our country in the 82nd Airborn division of the U.S. Army. After his time in service, he has enjoyed being the owner of "Heritage Heating and Air," which he used often to minister to people. No gesture to small to show his passion for others. He leaves behind his loving wife of 29yrs, Becky, or as Ron affectionately called her, “Petit,” whom he enjoyed birding with, his father, Clyde Edwin Heffner from St. Marys, OH. Ron also leaves behind his son, Adam, a soon to be graduate of Kennesaw State University, with whom he enjoyed bonding in true NASCAR fashion. Before he got his upward call, he was blessed to give his daughter Sarah in marriage, to her love, John Opris, last November. He also leaves behind his mother, Deloris Irene Carr, “Dee,”of Canton Ga., and his elder brother, Wayne Heffner of Woodstock Illinois. And multiple nieces and nephews.
To anyone blessed to have known Ron, and experienced his bigger than life personality, and his ability to turn any boring story into a tale of laughter, the family invites you to join them, in a “Celebration of his life service.” Saturday, May 4th at 2pm at First Baptist Church Woodstock, in the Chapel.
