Margaret T. Fowler, 94, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at her son’s home.
Born on January 18, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Buford and Pauline Branton Tidwell. Margaret worked for EZ Mills for several years, then she worked for Goodyear Mills for 19 years before her retirement. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church. She loved being with her family and going on vacations with them. She loved gospel music and enjoyed going with her son to different gospel singings including the National Quartet Convention.
She is preceded in death by her husband Buck Fowler, her infant daughter Patricia Fowler, her sisters and brother-in-law Dot Townsend (Herbert Townsend) Johnette Tidwell, and her brother and sister-in-law Griffin Tidwell (Sue Tidwell). Margaret is survived by her son; Herbert (Pat) Fowler, of Cartersville, her grandchildren; April (Robert) Lanham of Cartersville, Tina (Joey) Cooper of Cartersville. Her great-grandchildren Jonah, Joanna, Rebekah, and Elizabeth Cooper of Cartersville. Her brothers, Clarence Tidwell of Dalton, Earl (Jean) Tidwell of Jones, Alabama. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Pallbearers will be Jonah Cooper, Terrell Tidwell, Mark Flowers, Brett Sutton, Eddie Davenport, and Michael Davenport.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Flowers, Joey Cooper, Landon Sutton, Robert Lanham, Pete Cline, and Ronnie Cline
A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted Saturday, December 4, with visitation from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm funeral at 2:00 pm, at Creekside Fellowship Church, 585 Old Alabama Road, Cartersville.
