Ruth Cromwell Wetzstein, 84, Acworth, GA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, M. Arthur “Art” Wetzstein and her parents, G. Custer Cromwell and Lula LeCompte Cromwell, of Rockville, MD. She is survived by her children, David Wetzstein, Cindy and Paul Worley, and Alan Wetzstein. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Carissa and Sam Crochet, Nathan and Eilis Wetzstein, Matthew Worley, Cortland Wetzstein and Adam Wetzstein. She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren, Aoibhi, Oisin, Eowyn, Elinor, and Desmond. After retiring from a career as a registered nurse, she was active in Servants On Wheels Ever Ready (SOWER), a Christian RV volunteer organization. She served on the board of directors of Concerned Methodists, and was a member of Kennesaw United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 2nd at 3:00pm at Celebration Village of Acworth, 4460 Celebration Blvd, Acworth, GA 30144. A reception will be held immediately following the service onsite in the CL Sunflower Lounge. Ashes will be interred at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
