BROWER, SANDRA S., Sandy, Devoted Mom, Beloved Nana peacefully passed away in her home in the early morning hours of October 22, 2018.
She was born in Little Rock, AR on September 14, 1943 to parents Homer K. and Hazel K. Wasson. She is survived and celebrated by her daughter Katie (Chris Gentilello), son Michael (Suzanne Brower), sister Marsha (Mike Henderson), niece Teri, nephew Ryan; and her four loving and adored grandchildren Elizabeth, Nathan, Eva and Zach. She also leaves behind her most faithful fur babies and companions, Charlie and Bentley. She is preceded in death by her loving "Mother" and "Daddy", sister Becky James and nephew David James.
She attended North Little Rock High School where she graduated in 1961. She would then go on to the Baptist School of Nursing to receive her Diploma in Nursing during the year of 1964. Afterwards she took the Nursing Board Exam and became an R.N. Her journey as an R.N. began at St. Vincent Hospital in North Little Rock. She continued her career at the Arkansas Pediatric Clinic and then St. Jude's in Memphis. Her legacy is simple and perfect, just like she was. Love always, laugh often and together, be kind, be generous and give lots and lots of hugs and kisses. Love, strength and courage can aptly define who she was and describe what she gave, all the way to the end.
A memorial celebration will be held in her honor on November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the Cherokee County Humane Society. "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
