Dr. Warren David Moore, 80 years of age, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA.
Warren was born December 27, 1941, in Ohio to the late Grover and Lois Moore. He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School (Warren, OH) and joined the army shortly thereafter, and was honorably discharged in 1970. Warren then pursued his education and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts at San Francisco State College. After years of hard work and dedication, Warren then earned his Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
A life learner and educator, Warren passed his knowledge and education on to hundreds of students while teaching at many universities including Georgia State University and DeVry University. Warren focused his teaching on the areas of cognitive psychology, computer science, and learning, artificial intelligence. During his career, he proudly opened a technical school in Montego Bay, Jamaica, pouring his love of programming into his students.
In his free time, Warren loved meeting new friends at the Cobb Senior center and picking up competitive games of table tennis. He also deeply loved spending time with his energetic family.
Warren leaves to cherish his loving memory his beloved daughter, Cara Moore Croxton, son-in-law, Roy Croxton, and 2 grandchildren, Jonathan, and Avery.
