William “Jack” Keys , 80, of Acworth, passed away February 7, 2018. Jack was born in Allentown, Pa on September 20th, 1937. During his time in the Army, he made his home in Acworth, Ga. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Ellenburg Keys, his 3 children, son, Timmy Keys and his wife Kathleen Keys, daughters, Kim Keys, and Christie Keys Cook and her husband Gary Cook. He has nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Keys Kern and several nieces and nephews in Allentown, Pa. Jack served in the Army and Civil Service for many years. He loved sports of all kinds, especially basketball. When he was in his fifties, the Acworth newspaper deemed him the “oldest teenager”, because he was just that good of a player on the courts. Jack was a kind man and was also an ordained minister and officiated several weddings. Our dad was a very faithful Christian and those who knew him, always left with a smile on their faces because he shared his love of the Lord. We will hold him in our hearts until we meet again. Please feel free to leave your memories to honor this super man or a condolence message.
