William Joseph Walsh, 69, went to meet the Lord along with his beloved 1932 Chevy Confederate on July 23, 2022. He was born in Rochelle, Illinois on June 29, 1953, to Robert Thomas Walsh and Betty Florence (Purvis) Walsh.
Bill was a service manager/engineer tech for Mitsubishi and Mazak. He was also a gifted guitar player who played in various bands and played praise music for 22 years at New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and King's Cross in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He was the world's famous pancake maker and bird/squirrel/chipmunk whisperer. He loved the Lord, his wife Kathy, and his family. He was blessed with many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy (Dieffenbach) Walsh; one son, Mark Steven Walsh, and one daughter, Amy Marie Gibbs (Ryan). Siblings: Dolly Jean Hallenbeck (Britt), Joyce Ann Walsh, Linda Lou Lunzer, Mary Ellen Schuster (Ed) and Michael Lee Walsh. He has five adorable grandchildren: Alysa, Kylie, Bella, Makenzie, and Tyler.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thomas Walsh and Betty Florence Walsh.
A celebration of life will take place Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 1:00 pm (eastern time) at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services, 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101. Please dress in jeans (or shorts) and t-shirts. Musicians can wear a themed shirt.
