Willis Craig Magee

Willis Craig Magee, 76, a good and faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, peacefully passed away on October 16th. Craig was born on January 1st, 1946, to Cleda and Willis Magee of Magee, Mississippi. He was the beloved husband of Brenda and a loving father to Amber, Zachary, and Jordan. Craig served as the Director of National Accounts at Beckman Coulter for over 30 years, where he made significant contributions to the company’s success.

Craig will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for hunting, and his talent for detailed storytelling. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and leaves behind ten grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

In his free time, Craig enjoyed spending time with his family and pursuing his love of hunting. He was known for his intellect, problem-solving skills, and ability to fix anything that needed repair.

Craig will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Craig is survived by his wife, Brenda McGill Magee of Marietta, GA, and his three children: Willis Zachary Magee of Acworth, GA; Amber Evangeline Magee of Kennesaw, GA; and Sarah Jordan Magee Owens of Marietta, GA. He also leaves behind six grandsons: Tucker and Noah Michael, Willis, Everett, and Isaac Magee, and Alton Brown Owens; four granddaughters: Evangelynn and Harper Michael, and Sullivan and Willa Owens; his brother, Carl Phillip Magee of Hot Coffee, MS; and his sister, Stacy Christine Magee Mangum of Jackson, MS, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in honor of Willis Craig Magee on Monday, October 21st, at Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs, Georgia (4635 Dallas Hwy, Powder Springs, GA 30127). Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., and a brief graveside service thereafter. Flowers can be sent directly to Midway Presbyterian Church.
